G-Shock GW-M5610K-1JR & Baby-G BGA-2700K-1AJR Love The Sea And The Earth I.C.E.R.C. 2020 Orca Editions

The first Love The Sea And The Earth limited editions for 2020 are coming to Japan in June.

The G-Shock GW-M5610K-1JR and Baby-G BGA-2700K-1AJR are ICERC editions (International Cetacean Education Research Center) with a black and white orca theme. The lower bands feature a special orca print, and the EL backlight displays an image of a rising orca. Both models also have a “Love The Sea And The Earth 2020” commemorative case back. The GW-M5610K-1JR has a stainless steel band keeper with a whale icon, and the BGA-2700K-1AJR has a translucent resin band keeper with a dolphin icon.

Wow! The GW-M5610 is still kicking around. I thought by now, the GW-B5600 would be the official replacement to it.

The GW-M5610 is one of my favorites, glad to hear they’re still making new models even if it is just a limited edition. I hope the absence of bluetooth means these watches will be a little more affordable but again, given that it’s a limited edition, I won’t be holding my breath.

Any idea if this will be released in USA? Is there a chance that GShock USA could release it here?

Japan post has stopped all shipments to the USA, so impossible to get it from Japan on release :(

Does anyone know if they used sustainable materials in making these? It seems like an opportunity to. And how much, if any, of the profits go to ICERC?
