G-Shock MOVE Smartphone App Videos by G-Shock US

In the U.S., the G-Shock GBDH1000-1 and GBDH1000-1A7 will work with the G-Shock MOVE app on a Bluetooth-connected smartphone. The GBD-H1000 series features a built-in heart rate monitor (a first for G-Shock) and GPS. Runners and people looking to improve their cardio fitness will get the most use out of the advanced fitness features of the watch. The GBD-H1000 also has other unique features like vibration alerts, smartphone (call, email, social networking) notifications, and GPS time syncing.

The MOVE app is designed to be intuitive and easy to use. The G-Shock US channel released a few videos that demonstrate what the MOVE app offers.

The first video shows how the app homescreen can be easily customized to display favorite training data overviews and watch settings.

The second video highlights the Activity page. The history tab shows distance, time, and average pace, along with a map of the route traveled. Taping on a run provides more detailed information, such as energy (calorie) consumption, average cadence, total ascent/descent, maximum/minimum elevation, color-coded heart rate zone times, and VO2 max. The analysis tab provides detailed information about the user’s training status over a period of 3 months, 1 month, or 1 week. Other data available includes training status progression, VO2 max, training load, monthly goal completion, distance versus time, average pace, total ascent, and heart rate.

The third video shows the Plan function. Plans can be created for cardio training or distance running training. The running plan includes training for 5K, 10K, half marathon, or marathon distances. The cardio plan allows you to choose several options such as maintain fitness, slowly improve fitness, and quickly improve fitness.
