G-Shock G-STEEL GST-S100 and GST-S110

G-Steel GSTS100 and GSTS110

The new stainless steel G-Shock G-Steel watch measures a hefty 59.1 x 52.4 x 16.1 mm, which is about the same size as the much pricier MTG-S1000. It has a similar look to the MTG-S1000 but is noticeably different in that it has a visible inner black, blue, or red urethane bezel under a stainless steel or resin outer bezel. It also an analog-digital display versus the purely analog face on the MTG-S1000. The G-Shock G-Steel series features Tough Solar power, a dual-layer guard structure featuring the outer bezel and an inner bezel with extra cushioning material, dual LED light, and a hand shift function that moves the analog hands out of the way of the LCD display when using the watch’s special functions. Other features include world time (48 cities, DST on/off), 5 daily alarms, hourly time signal, 1/100 second stopwatch, countdown timer, auto calendar, and 12/24 hour format. The watches feature analog hour and minute hands and the digital displays can show the time, seconds, pm, date, and day. The G-Shock G-Steel series is an excellent choice for a dressier yet affordable G-Shock watch that can be worn for any activity or social setting.

All six watches from the G-Steel line are now available. The GST-S110 (first row) watches have a stainless steel outer bezel and include the GST-S110-1A with resin band, GST-S110D-1A all silver model with stainless steel strap, and blue and black ion platedGST-S110BD-1A2. The GST-S100 watches (second row) have a urethane outer bezel and include the gold and black GST-S100G-1A with resin band, black and blue GST-S100D-1A2 with stainless steel band, and black and red GST-S100D-1A4 with stainless steel band.

To get a better idea of what the dual-layer bezel looks like at an angle see the video for the GST-W100D and GST-W110D models with Multi-Band 6. All six models are also available with Multi-Band 6 automatic time-syncing as imports, see the GST-W100D/GST-W110D models and the GST-W110BD-1A2JF/GST-W100G-1AJF/GST-W110-1AJF models.

I have a big wrist 9.75 ins in circumference can the 1100 stainless band be extended by 2 or 3 links to centralize the band and fit my wrist comfortably , how much extra cash would this cost and do you ship to Australia. All the best Nifty Mullin.

You should try one on in a store if you can find it but it’s probably not going to fit and I’m not sure if extra links are available. Sorry but we don’t sell any watches directly. We just provide information and links. You can find Australian stores that carry G-Shock here.

You shouldn’t have a problem fitting it but if you are concerned about the watch moving around you should probably get one with the resin band so you can easily adjust it how you want. Also the GST-S110-1A with resin band weighs 108 grams and would probably be easier to fit it tighter to prevent it from moving around.

I have a G-Shock G-STEEL GST-S100D.
I placed it in adjust mode this weekend to make sure the Daylight Savings Time feature was turned on. Everything was fine. This morning I noticed that neither the time nor date was displaying digitally in the left hand screen, I tried several buttons with no response so I held in the adjust button again to put it in to that mode. when it went into that mode the second hand moved back and lined up with the hour hand at 7:39. now all the features work and display correctly on the watch except for the hands. They won’t move at all and the “Hands” indicator on the right side digital display is flashing. What does this mean and what do I do about it?
Thanks

Have you tried holding down the lower left button for a few seconds? It sounds like something is wrong with it. You can email or call Casio support:

I recall reading something about Casio saying the American market is not as interested in the Multi-Band 6 feature as the Japanese market, but of course there are a lot of people who want it. I can live without it (since I am usually out of range from any of the transmitters) but if I lived near one I would probably want that feature.

regarding this mode: GST-S100D-1A2 vs GST-S110BD-1A2 . Can you point out the different ? I believed one is stainless steel and the other is not ? or they are both the same material ?

The outer bezel on the GST-S110BD-1A2 is stainlesss steel while the outer bezel of the GST-S100D-1A2 is resin. They both have stainless steel bodies and bands.

Does model GSTS-100D-1A2 have an Atomic feature?

No, just Tough Solar. You would need to buy the Japanese version GST-W100D-1A2 to get the Multi-Band 6 feature.
