Casio is releasing four quick release bands for the G-Shock GA-2000 series in June 2019 in Japan and Asia. The four bands are expected to be released in other countries too.

The bands include the BANDGS01B-3 camouflage cloth band (list price 4,000 JPY), the BANDGS01BC-4 orange Cordura fabric band (4,000 JPY), the BANDGS01P-1 black resin band (3,000 JPY), and the BANDGS01V-1 cloth Velcro band (4,000 JPY).

Update: The official GA2000 replacement bands are now available in the U.S. and can be ordered directly from Casio at www.gshock.com.

24-millimeter Quick Release Bands from Other Manufacturers:

G-Shock GA-2000 owners who are worried that they will be at the mercy of Casio when it comes to replacement bands can rest assured that “quick release” straps from other manufacturers will also fit the GA-2000.

This video review from TimeToGo Travel And Timepieces (at 5:25) shows the GA-2000 swapping straps with a Barton quick release silicone watch band. The proper band size to use is a 24 millimeter width as seen on an aftermarket band in this forum review and mentioned in the video review.

Thanks in part to the rising popularity of smartwatches, the sizes for quick release bands have become standardized. There are many brands that offer these straps and Barton seems to be one of the most reputable and top-selling. For the GA-2000, we suggest the Barton silicone bands available in solid colors or the “Elite” silicone bands available in black or dual-layer colors. In addition to the different colors, the Elite silicone bands include two long sections of different sizes for the best fit.

These Barton bands can be considered an upgrade to the stock resin GA-2000 bands, as along with being made of soft silicone, they have a stainless steel buckle and two strap keepers. If you purchase the bands at bartonwatchbands.com, you can also choose from five buckle colors: silver, black PVD, gunmetal grey, rose gold, and gold. The Barton band selection on Amazon is limited to the stainless steel and black PVD buckles. We have also highlighted some other interesting choices from other brands below.

Barton Soft Silicone Quick Release Watch Bands: 13 colors available, with stainless steel buckle and tongue. Fits wrists from 5.5 inches to 8 inches.
