Casio is launching the all-new W-738H series, starting with Japan in May 2026. This affordable (non-G-Shock) watch has the same features as the W-736H (and W-735H) but in a new square case measuring 47 x 42.8 x 13.5 millimeters. Along with 100-meter water resistance and an approximate 10-year battery life, a unique feature is the vibration alarm. When activated by pressing the start button for two seconds in timekeeping mode, vibration replaces the beeping sounds for the stopwatch, timer, and alarm modes, including the hourly time signal. Activating vibration also disables the button operation sound.
The W-738H has a compatible band size of 145 to 215 millimeters, which is 10 more than a standard G-Shock DW-5600. Other features include dual time, 1/100-second stopwatch (with elapsed time, split time, 1st-2nd place times, auto-start), 24-hour countdown timer, daily alarm, hourly time signal, and full auto-calendar. The LED backlight has a 2-second duration. The 10-year battery estimate is based on one light operation per day and one alarm per day (20-second audible or 10-second vibration).
In Japan, the W-738H-1AJF and W-738H-3AJF have a price of 7,700 yen each. Casio U.K. has the W-738H-1AV and W-738H-3AV listed as coming soon for £45 at casio.com/uk. (The English instructions link is not yet working, but you can find the PDF for Module 3588 at casio.com.) Along with the W-738H-1A and W-738H-3A, there is also a W738H-1B model in full black with an inverted LCD display that is expected to be released in some countries.
Some other (non-G) Casio series with the vibration alarm that are available in the U.S. include the W735H, W736H, and mud-resistant TRT110H. (The W737H does not have vibration.) For a list of G-Shock watches with vibration, see this list in our Specs Catalog.
