The G-Shock GA-B010 offers significant upgrades over the GA-010, including Tough Solar power, Bluetooth smartphone link, and a step tracker. It is the first G-Shock watch with a pedometer and the Tough Solar system, which is able to completely power the watch through solar charging. Other enhancements include more world time zones, an expanded 24-hour countdown timer, a full auto double LED light with LCD backlight, and adjustable language setting (6) for the day of week.

The estimated battery life assumes that the alarm (10 seconds) and LED light (1.5 seconds) are used once per day.
