G-Shock GAC2500 and GMC2500 watches will be released this Friday (11/6) in the U.S. (plus GMC2500D-1A now in stock at AD)

The all-new G-Shock GAC2500 and GMC2500 watches, ranging in price from $145 to $350, will be released at gshock.casio.com this Friday, November 6. (The G-Shock Soho Store in New York has stated that they will be available on November 7.) There are strong indications that some of the models will sell out quickly.
Since going on pre-sale in Japan on November 1, all models except for the white and yellow resin versions have sold out at the Casio Japan website and other major Japanese retailers. The 2500 series have been getting a lot of positive pre-release coverage and much more attention than most new G-Shock watches.
Although it lacks some features that are typically found on other G-Shocks (such as a countdown timer and alarm), there are several things to like about these series other than the resemblance to the Patek Philippe Nautilus. They are a smaller analog men’s (and possibly unisex) G-Shock that will wear closer in size to a DW-5600 or GM-5600 versus the larger analog-digital GA-2100 and GM-2100. There is a power-saving function that suspends the second hand, extending battery life by 150% (from 2 years to 5 years). The LED light is an amber color that will be easier on the eyes than a white LED light in the dark. For those who are new to G-Shock, these watches also have a full auto-calendar, so manual date adjustments are not necessary. There is also a 30-minute chronograph and a hand shift function to clear the hands away from the indicators.
The exact release time was not announced, but new Casio releases in the U.S. are usually released around 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. ET. It is highly recommended to sign up for email notifications on the Casio product pages, which are available at the link below.
