Several official G-Shock social media accounts posted a teaser video of the upcoming GMC-2500, including G-Shock U.S., U.K., and official European accounts. (G-Shock Milano also posted some teaser photos on facebook.com. The stainless steel-covered GMC-2500 and all-resin GAC-2500 offer a new style of full analog watch with G-Shock’s signature features of shock resistance and 200-meter water resistance. Although their module offers less functions than some lower priced analog-digital G-Shock series, using the second hand sleep option can extend the battery life to an approximate five years total instead of two. The GAC-2500 ($145) and GMC-2500 (starting at $280) will be the most affordable (active) G-Shock series with a second hand, and other G-Shock options for that are larger watches.
The timing of these teaser posts across many regions leads us to believe that the GMC-2500 and GAC-2500 may be released simultaneously around the world in November.
