Casio U.S. releases Casio WS1800 sports watch with event time, preset timer, interval timers

The all-new Casio WS1800 is an affordable sports-oriented digital watch with resin glass featuring a stopwatch with event time, a preset timer, and interval timers, along with an approximate 10-year battery life and 100-meter water resistance. The WS1800 is basically a redesigned version of the squarish WS1600H (casio.com) and AE1300WH (casio.com), which share the same functions. Casio America released the black WS1800-1AV, blue WS1800-2AV, and green WS1800-3AV for $39.95 each (link below).

The event stopwatch uses two lines of display to show the playing time (which can be paused and resumed for injury timeouts) and the total elapsed event time. The event time can be set from 1 to 60 minutes. When the event time is completed, an alarm will sound, and the stopwatch will continue to run after the event time. The stopwatch measures in 1-second increments with a 59’59” limit for the upper display and a 99’59” limit for the lower display.

The preset timer offers the following timer duration options that can be cycled through and selected quickly: 10, 12, 15, 20, 25, 30, 35, 40, 45. An auto-repeat option is available, and there is also an elapsed time function that will measure up to 60 minutes after the countdown reaches zero, if auto-repeat is not enabled. There are also up to 9 settable interval countdown timers up to 59’55 each (in 1-minute and 5-second increments) with an auto-repeat option.

Other features include world time, daily alarm, hourly time signal, amber LED backlight, button tone on/off, and full auto-calendar. The WS1800 weighs 48.2 x 45 x 13.8 millimeters and weighs 41 grams.
