G-Shock is introducing a new model to the full analog and stainless steel-cased GMC-B2100 series. The GMC-B2100Y-1A features a Tough Silicone Band which is made of a silicone base layer with a protective clear urethane layer and a gunmetal-colored metallic vapor deposition in between. The made-in-Japan GMC-B2100, also known as “Full Metal Chronograph,” was first released in late 2024 and consisted only of models with stainless steel bands until now. The Tough Silicone Band was first introduced with the GM-5600YM and GM-2100YM series in early 2025. Unlike those models that have very glossy and reflective bands, the band on the GMC-B2100Y-1A has the appearance of a brushed finish.
The GMC-B2100Y-1A is slightly larger than the analog-digital GM-B2100 and measures 51.3 x 46.3 x 12.4 millimeters. The total weight is 108 grams, which is 63 grams lighter than a GMC-B2100 with a stainless steel band.
In Japan, the GMC-B2100Y-1AJF is scheduled for an August 2025 release with a price of 99,000 yen, which is slightly lower than the metal-banded models.
