Kikuo Ibe attended Worn & Wound’s Windup Watch Fair and sorry we didn’t know about it

We unfortunately missed the fact that G-Shock creator Kikuo Ibe made an appearance at the Windup Watch Fair in New York City on October 18, 2025. The event was scheduled at windupwatchfair.com and also announced at wornandwound.com who sponsors the fair, but Casio America never publicized it until posting a post-event video. According to the program, Mr. Ibe shared his personal story behind the creation of G-Shock and discussed his ongoing challenges and new pursuits. He also signed postcards and products after the presentation as he normally does at his public appearances.

The Windup Watch Fair marked its tenth anniversary this year, and since Worn & Wound is one of the leading watch enthusiast sites in the U.S., with G-Shock having featured at several past events, it would be wise for us to follow their coverage more closely going forward.

Kikuo Ibe will also be touring Europe and making appearances in Denmark, France, and Germany in September 2025.
