Casio Japan is rereleasing the CRW-001-1JR Ring Watch on June 20 [Changed to lottery sales until 6/23 4:00 p.m.]

Casio Japan officially announced that it is rereleasing the Casio CRW-001-1JR Ring Watch on June 20th at 10:00 a.m. online for 19,800 yen. (Link below, shipping is available to Japan only.) The ring watch was originally released at the end of 2024 in Japan as part of the Casio Watch 50th Anniversary. (Although it is shaped like a G-Shock and clearly pays homage to the original G-Shock, the CRW-001-1 is not an actual G-Shock, but it is a functional Casio watch with water resistance, dual time, stopwatch, auto calendar, and LED backlight.)

The CRW-001-1 was originally believed to be a limited edition and possibly a Japan exclusive before its release, but Casio ended up selling it in other countries. Sold by a lottery system in Japan and on a first come, first served basis in some countries, the ring watch was extremely difficult to purchase, and many fans were left empty-handed. The rerelease in Japan will be sold by normal online ordering and will be limited to one per person.

Japanese fan site Great G-Shock World (gshockjp.blog.jp) reported that unlike the initial release, the rerelease will also be sold in watch stores on June 20 such as Time Station NEO, スリーク (THREEC), TiCTAC, and possibly others.

Casio America is also expected to rerelease the ring watch in the U.S., based on replies from customer service employees, but there is no official confirmation or expected date yet. The CRW001-1 had a price of $120 in the U.S. Before getting caught up in the FOMO again, there may be some future alternatives to consider. An image of a gold CRW-001 with an inverted LCD display was previously leaked, although it’s uncertain if or when it will be released. There are also rumors of a functional ring-size G-Shock watch that is expected to be made of resin and may be coming later this year.

Update: Due to website instability issues caused by higher-than-expected traffic during the rerelease, Casio Japan has implemented a lottery sales system with applications ending on June 23, 2025, 4:00 p.m.
