On December 7 at 12:00 p.m., Japan’s G-Shock Products is releasing some unique items that may be of interest to fans and collectors, including a limited 40th Anniversary varsity jacket designed by Eric Haze, a silver ring modeled after the G-Shock DW-001, and an octagonal coffee mug with the graphics of fourteen G-Shock models printed on it. The purchase of these Japan-made items is limited to residents of Japan, but it’s possible that some of them may make their way to Singapore and Taiwan, where the G-Shock Products line was also officially launched recently.
The Anniversary Award Jacket is limited to 40 pieces according to Casio and has a tax-included price of 79,200 yen. Sizes include M, L, and XL. The black and white varsity jacket features four G-Shock Anniversary logo patches on the sleeves designed by Eric Haze, starting with the 25th Anniversary. Haze’s signature graffiti tag is embroidered on the right chest and a G-Shock logo featuring Haze’s signature stars is on the left chest. The jacket has sleeves made of cowhide leather and a body made of 80% wool, 10% nylon, and 10% polyester, with a polyester lining.
The DW-001 Type Silver Ring has a price of 35,200 yen and is available in sizes 15, 17, and 19. It is modeled after the capsule-like G-Shock DW-001 from 1994 which was recently revived as the G-B001. The ring is made of 925 sterling silver.
The 14-Models Octagon Mug has a price of 1,430 yen. It has a height of 8 centimeters and a diameter of 7.6 centimeters.
These items are part of the American Sports Winter Collection, which is the second installment of the American Sports Autumn Collection. Other items in the Winter Collection include the GP Logo Stadium (Folding) Chair, New Era x G-Shock Products 9Fifty Snapback cap, and the New Era x G-Shock Products Basic Cuff Kit (beanie knit hat). These other items feature a baseball style “GP” logo and not a traditional G-Shock logo.
