It’s looking like the G-Shock GW-BX5600 will probably not be released in the U.S. in time for a holiday delivery (and we’re not even sure that it will be released there at all), but there are many other options for holiday gifts at the moment, including some limited editions that are currently available only at retailers other than Casio.com.
Casio U.S. Website:
The all-new GAB010 Series is the first G-Shock with both Tough Solar power and a Step Tracker, and it also has Bluetooth smartphone connectivity to the Casio Watches app. It is available in black, blackout black, and green for $180 each. (Links below.)
Four new GM-5600 and GM-2100 models feature knurled stainless steel bezels and range in price from $220 to $280.
The latest collaboration with the Charles Darwin Foundation includes two GA-B2100 models featuring Tough Solar power and Bluetooth which are $200 each.
The Pro Trek PRG340ANS-3 ($300) is a limited edition model for the 30th Anniversary of Casio’s Pro Trek line of trekking and climbing watches, featuring a rotating bezel, duplex LCD display, Tough Solar power, Triple Sensor, and sunrise-sunset time. (Casio also released another anniversary edition, the Pro Trek PRW-61ANS-3, in Japan and Asia, which can be viewed at casio.com/intl.)
At $440 each, the all-new G-Shock G-STEEL GSTB1000 offers excellent value for a dressier style of G-Shock with a stainless steel exterior and lightweight carbon-reinforced case.
We should also mention that the new Bamford collaboration is expected to be released in the U.S. sometime, but it’s not known when.
