Casio America finally releases the G-Shock GWBX5600-1 and GWBX5600-1A1 with MIP LCD, sells out on same day

G-Shock GW-BX5600 with MIP LCD Display

Nearly one year after their release in Japan and Asia, Casio America is finally releasing the G-Shock GWBX5600-1 and GWBX5600-1A1 (all-black with inverted display) in the U.S. for $180 each, but they are already sold out. These were the November 2025 launch models for the GW-BX5600 series that introduced the combination of a high-contrast MIP LCD display, Tough Solar power, Multi-Band 6 auto radio wave time correction, and Bluetooth smartphone link to the classic origin-based 5600 line. Unlike other G-Shock series with MIP LCD (excluding the full metal GMW-BZ5000) that have a stopwatch that measures in 1-second increments only, the stopwatch on the GW-BX5600 measures in 1/100-second increments for the first 60 minutes. Another unique feature is that the watch is capable of displaying up to three time zones simultaneously in timekeeping mode

(A previous GW-BX5600 model, GWBX5600CBG-2, was released in the U.S. in April 2026, but that was a $250 limited edition watch that is now out of stock.)

The GWBX5600-1 and GWBX5600-1A1 were previously available with the “Buy It Now” button on September 15, but they are now in “Notify Me” status and sold out less than a day after release. It’s not known if other retailers will be selling these models in the U.S. We suggest signing up for product notifications with the links below, as both models are in stock at Casio Japan and more stock could be coming to Casio U.S. soon.
