BTS member J-Hope leaves military service wearing a G-Shock Mudmaster GWG-2000 watch

K-pop star J-Hope of BTS, whose real name is Jung Ho-seok, was officially discharged from his mandatory military service on October 17 in South Korea and wore his uniform and a G-Shock Mudmaster GWG-2000 wristwatch as he left his base in Wonju, Gangwon province. He greeted fans and reporters who gathered to see him and was met by fellow BTS member Jin.

Earlier this year, BTS members Taehyung and Jungkook were spotted wearing G-Shock DW-5600 watches during their military service. Although BTS is not an official brand ambassador for G-Shock, members of BTS have also been spotted wearing G-Shock watches in the past outside of military service, including J-Hope wearing a GA-110 and GD-120. J-Hope also wore the GWG-2000 in uniform in an August 2023 Instagram post (original embedded below), and it was likely his main watch during his year-and-a-half service.

The Mudmaster GWG-2000 is a high-end Master of G series featuring mud resistance, Tough Solar, Multi-Band 6, and the Triple Sensor. It is one of the only G-Shock series to be made with forged carbon parts. The specific model that J-Hope was wearing is the GWG-2000-1A3 with a green resin band and red accents around the stainless steel bezel.

BTS is expected to reunite sometime in 2025 after the remaining members in the military finish their service in June.
