Casio America released the all-new Casio AQS820W analog-digital series featuring Tough Solar power. The price is $55.95 each for the black AQS820W-1AV, green AQS820W-3BV, and brown AQS820W-5AV. The AQS820W has 100-meter water resistance and the same functions as the previous AQS810W, including world time, 5 daily alarms, hourly time signal, dual timers with up to 1-10 repeats, 1/100-second stopwatch (with elapsed time, split time, 1st-2nd place times), LED light (1.5 or 3 seconds), battery level indicator, button sound on/off, adjustable day of week language (6), and power saving function. The AQS820W is larger (but thinner) than the AQS810W, measuring 52.5 x 50.1 x 12.7 millimeters and weighing 46 grams.
These watches are designated with a “Limited Stock” label at the Casio U.S. website and are expected to be popular. Amazon.com also has all three models listed for a June 1 release but with an inexplicably high price ($108.02) at the moment.
Along with the AQS810W series (casio.com), the WS220C-7BV (casio.com), and AQS800W-1B2V (casio.com), AQS820W watches are the most affordable Casio watches with Tough Solar power, in which all of the watch functions are powered by light. The AQS820W uses a CTL920 rechargeable battery.
Update: All three models are sold out at casio.com/us already, and we suggest checking Amazon.com (second link below) on June 1 to see if the price goes down to normal.
