Pilgrim Surf + Supply releasing New York-inspired G-Shock GLX-5600 collaboration for Japan 10th anniversary

Brooklyn-born surf and lifestyle brand Pilgrim Surf + Supply is celebrating the 10th anniversary of its presence in Japan with the release of a G-Shock GLX-5600 collaboration. This G-LIDE surfing watch features a tide graph and a gray-green color scheme inspired by winter in New York City and the electronic signboards in the subway, and the case back is engraved with the phrase “Leisure Is The Mother Of Philosophy” along with the flag logo.
The watch is currently available for pre-orders in Japan at Beams and will be released in February 2026. This GLX-5600 model is equipped with module 3151 with the blue-green EL backlight. There hasn’t been any updated module (with LED backlight) for the GLX-5600 series yet, but the GLX-5600 has an estimated battery life of 7 years on a CR2025. Other improvements over the DW-5600 include world time, moon graph and data, 1/100-second increments for the stopwatch (up to 24 hours, not just for the first hour) and 5-second countdown auto start, progress beeper for countdown timer, 3 independent multi-function alarms (with 1 snooze), auto light switch option, and button tone on/off.
