WatchDavid reviews the G-Shock DW-5600MNC with Fidlock clasp

WatchDavid takes a close look at the new G-Shock DW-5600MNC watches featuring an elastic cloth band with a Fidlock clasp. One of the main concerns of these models is if the magnetic clasp will stay secure, and while it looks very possible that the large latch could get caught up on something and accidentally open, WatchDavid demonstrates that even if that happens, the closed loop design of the band will keep the watch on the wrist, as the whole band would need to stretch and slide over the hand in order to fall off. These may not be the best models for the most rigorous activities, but it is clearly easier to put them on and take them off quickly compared to other types of bands. The stretchy elastic band also has a larger size range as well and can be worn over outerwear, but its 215 millimeters maximum size is five less than a G-Shock Frogman.
