G-Shock Rangeman GW-9400J-1JF is officially discontinued

There was previously strong evidence that the G-Shock Rangeman GW-9400J-1JF was discontinued, based on it being sold out at casio.com/jp for a while and other large Japanese retailers designating it as such. Casio has made it official with the GW-9400J-1JF now having the “生産完了” (Production Completed) designation at casio.com/jp. We should again point out that this doesn’t mean that the entire GW-9400 series is discontinued, as the GW-9400BJ-1JF and GW-9400YJ-1JF are still available in Japan. Also, the GW-9400J-1JF (a Japan-exclusive model with a carbon fiber insert band) was not the same model as the GW-9400-1 which is sold internationally and is still available in the U.S. and Europe. (The GW9400-3 is also still available in the U.S.) While it now seems very possible that the GW-9400 series may be eventually phased out in favor of the Mudman GW-9500, various GW-9400 models continue to be available for the time being.
