G-Shock China releases GM-5600USUB24-1PFS for Subcrew 20th Anniversary

When it comes to G-Shock collaborations in China, Subcrew has been leading the way since 2017 with several limited edition skateboarding-themed releases, including its first DW-5600SUBCREW-1 and a pair of watches with Steve Caballero. To celebrate the 20th Anniversary of the streetwear and lifestyle brand, which was founded in Hong Kong by Sam Lee and Frankie Cheung, G-Shock China released the GM-5600USUB24-1PFS. A launch event featuring a skateboarding exhibition was held at the Avenue & Son skatepark at Moho Mall in Shanghai.
This GM-5600-based watch features a black ion-plated stainless steel bezel, a wavy line pattern and Subcrew logo on the face, and black-on-black branding printed on the band and keeper. It is currently available in China at casiostore.com.cn for 1,590 yuan. Instagram posts showed a specially packaged version that includes a “We Are The Subcrew” red cap (below) which may be available in stores, but the casiostore.com.cn listing does not show or mention the hat.
Update: The GM-5600USUB24-1PFS includes the red cap and gift packaging, according to casio.com.cn where it can also be purchased in China.
