In January 2025, G-Shock released two limited edition watches in Japan featuring iconic artwork from Hokusai’s Thirty-Six Views of Mount Fuji from the Edo period. The DW-5600KHK24-1 highlighted The Great Wave off Kanagawa, while the DW-5600KHG24-1 showcased Red Fuji. Both watches are now being released in European countries, which is unexpected as they were previously believed to be exclusive to Japan and sold out. The watches are now listed by Casio as coming soon in select countries and will be available online for €119 each. Like the original release, these DW-5600 models are made in Japan. (The countries include France, Germany, Italy, Netherlands, Portugal, and Spain.) The release coincides with G-Shock creator Kikuo Ibe’s European Legacy Tour 2025, in which the Casio engineer will visit France, Germany, and Denmark in September.
Update: The DW-5600KHK25-1 (as DW-5600KHK25-1DR) will also be released soon in the United Kingdom for £99.90 at casio.com/uk.
Update 2: Both watches are now also listed at Casio’s Asia region site at casio.com/intl, with listings for country-specific sites coming soon.
