G-Shock x LavaLine: Slacklining Across a Volcanic Crater

This video takes slacklining to a new level of intensity, as it documents extreme athletes Alexander Schulz and Rafael Bridi crossing a 2.5-centimeter-wide, 160-meter slackline across the active volcanic crater of Mount Yasur on the island of Tanna. G-Shock was an official partner in this jaw-dropping Guinness World Record event, known as LavaLine, that took place on April 15, 2020. As seen in the video and photos below, Rafael Bridi wore a G-Shock GBD-H1000 watch during the event. A 45-minute documentary of the event is currently in the works. More information is available at oneinchdreams.com/lavaline.

Designed for fitness and the outdoors, the GBD-H1000 is one of the most advanced G-Shock watches. It is equipped with a heart rate monitor, GPS, step counter, pressure sensor (altimeter, barometer), compass, thermometer, solar charging, GPS timekeeping, and Bluetooth.
