Ryan of Kakao Friends x Baby-G BGD-501 Pair

Casio is partnering with Kakao Friends for the release of the Ryan x Baby-G BGD-501 pair of watches in South Korea. The pair includes black and white BGD-501 watches that feature the top and bottom of Ryan’s head above and below the LCD display. When the EL light is activated, the rest of Ryan’s head and face appears in the display in orange lines. Both watches also have an orange border around the face.

Kakao Friends sells merchandise based on its emoticon characters. Although he resembles a bear at first glance, Ryan is actually a maneless lion.

The watches will reportedly launch on 25 February 2021. They will probably be available in South Korea at store.kakaofriends.com (shipping to South Korea only).
