Casio America is now accepting pre-orders (at $65 each) for the G-Shock book written by Ariel Adams and published by Rizzoli, with an estimated ship date of October 10. It is also available for pre-orders on Amazon for a little less, with a release date of September 26.
The book is highly anticipated and expected to be of very high quality. It is one of the few English-language publications devoted solely to G-Shock and the first to be produced in North America. Casio America also sent out a press release for the book, which is 256 pages and includes exclusive photographs by Atom Moore. Based on a new image, the book appears to have a slipcase with 3D properties for the G-Shock graphic, with the watch face portion being on the book part and showing through the slipcase cover.
“This book serves as a time capsule for G-Shock,” says Tadashi Shibuya, Vice President of the Timepiece division at Casio America Inc. “It commemorates and protects the last 40 years within its pages, and we are thankful to Ariel for collecting these special moments for us.”
A meet and greet with the author, aBlogtoWatch founder Ariel Adams, is scheduled for October 10 at the G-Shock Soho Store in New York City.
