Independent French hip hop label D’or et de Platine announced an upcoming G-Shock collaboration, which was first revealed during the opening of a Jul concert at the Orange Vélodrome Stadium in Marseille on June 4. A teaser image shows what appears to be a DW-5600 watch with a blue face featuring the label’s name below the LCD display and an alien logo on the EL backlight.
D’or et de Platine was founded in 2015 by rapper Jul (stylized as JuL). Jul recently released the album “Extraterrestre” and also released the song “G-shock” (soundcloud.com) in 2021. According to Deezer, Jul is the most streamed artist on Deezer since 2015.
The watch will reportedly be available sometime in the fall at g-shock.eu/fr and the G-Shock Store in Paris. For more information (including a video) and to sign up for future updates, visit doretdeplatineshop.com.
