G-Pattern Print Shirt features images of classic G-Shock watches

The G-Shock Products line (which is sold in Japan, Singapore, and Taiwan) releases seasonal clothing collections that we don’t always cover here, as we tend to focus on the items with a more immediate connection to G-Shock that may be of interest to serious collectors and fans, such as items featuring images of G-Shock watches. When it comes to the new golf-inspired Outcourse Collection for spring and summer 2024, that item would be the “G-Pattern Print Open Collar Shirt,” a button down shirt with a special print pattern of G-Shock watches. The watches appear to be 001, 5000-5600, 5700, 5900, and 6900 models, along with one unexpected watch, the DW-6400.

The DW-6400, nicknamed “Gundam,” was originally released in 1994 and has a very distinctive look that brings to mind sci-fi, robots, and anime. Casio designer Ryusuke Moriai has described it as his most memorable G-Shock and admitted that Gundam was one of the (unofficial) influences on the design. Could this be some sort of easter egg that is foreshadowing a DW-6400 reprint this year? Maybe not, but that would be amazing, as the DW-6400 would be one of our top choices for a reissue.

The shirt is currently available only in Japan for 19,800 yen, but it may be sold in Singapore and Taiwan later. There are also some new t-shirts featuring “G-Shock Products” and “Gravity Shock Protection” logos. You can see the full collection at gshock.casio.com/jp.
