Casio is teaming up with Taiwanese tattoo shop Justice Ink for the release of the G-Shock DW-5600MWCAT-7 in Taiwan. A special exhibition will be held at the G-Shock Store in Taipei from January 5 to February 28.
The white DW-5600 watch has a Year of the Rabbit theme for Chinese New Year and features an exclusive band design created by artist Hao as an extension of his “Hundred Cats” motif. The upper band features a cat with a rabbit mask, and the lower band is printed with the artist’s signature and a flying egret to represent Taiwan.
The watch will go on sale online in Taiwan at casio.com/tw on January 7 (12:00 p.m.) for NT$3,800, as well as at G-Shock concept stores in Taiwan.
Casio Taiwan is also running a related promotion with other gift items designed by Hao. Customers who spend NT$3,000 or more at the Casio Taiwan website will receive a Year of the Rabbit shot glass, traditional red envelopes, and a card with a serial number. The serial number is used to register online for a giveaway contest in which various high-end electronic items (Insta360 X3 camera, Apple iPad, Nintendo Switch, Apple AirPods Pro) can be won.
