The third collaborative G-Shock series with the Charles Darwin Foundation includes the black and red GA-B2100CD-1A4 inspired by the marine iguana and the black and white GA-B2100CD-1A7 inspired by the Galápagos penguin. The base is the GA-B2100, featuring Tough Solar power, Bluetooth smartphone link, Carbon Core Guard case, and a bezel and band made of renewable bio-based resin. The watches have a number of exclusive adornments, including an animal-shaped subdial indicator hand, a silhouette of the islands on the dial, an animal silhouette printed on the band keeper, and a declaration of support printed on the band. A Charles Darwin Foundation logo is engraved on the stainless steel case back, and the watch comes in plastic-free packaging.
The GA-B2100CD-1A4 and GA-B2100CD-1A7 are scheduled for a November 2024 release and are expected to be released worldwide.
Update: G-Shock U.S. released the GAB2100CD1A7 and GAB2100CD1A4 for $170 each in January 2025.
