U.S. authorized dealer Reeds Jewelers is currently offering the G-Shock DWH5600-1 for $188.37, which is 37% off the list price of $299. Amazon.com is also selling it for the same price at the moment. The Reeds discount ends on May 28, 2025, and it’s not known how long the Amazon discount will last. (See below for links. Reeds Jewelers also ships internationally to select countries.)
The G-Shock DWH5600-1 is modeled after the classic DW-5600 and features an optical heart rate monitor, step tracker, Bluetooth, MIP LCD display, and wired USB charging along with solar-assisted charging. (It should be possible to keep the watch powered by solar alone for timekeeping and maybe very light use of some functions, but wired charging is required for regular use of the fitness and Bluetooth functions.) The DWH5600-1 is slightly larger than other 5000-5600 models, and its Polar-powered fitness tracking functions are sync-compatible with the Strava running and hiking app. Activity support includes running, walking, gym workouts, and interval timer. Some other features include phone notifications, vibration alerts, sunrise and sunset times, and moon data.
Some other recent and unexpected (but now sold out) discounts at Reeds included the full metal G-Shock GMWB5000D-3 with green face for $385 and the G-Shock Mudmaster GWGB1000EC-1A for $504.
