G-Shock Hidden Glow Series features luminous dials and return of GA-2000

The G-Shock Hidden Glow Series is coming to Japan in February and features luminous glow-in-the-dark faces paired with gray bezels and bands. The series includes the DW-6900HD-8, GA-110HD-8A, GA-700HD-8A, GA-2000HD-8A, and GA-2100HD-8A. The GA-2000HD-8A is a surprising addition and nice to see here, as this is the first new GA-2000 model since 2021. The white resin parts of the faces are mixed with a phosphorescent material that glows green in the dark, and all the models have an inverted LCD display. In terms of the largest glowing area, the GA-2100HD-8A is the winner.

We’d love to see some G-Shock watches with fully glowing resin bezels and bands someday, but for now these models are the next best thing. They also look great in their non-glowing states with the gray and white combinations offering an understated style in the light.

The prices will be slightly higher than typical non-glowing models and are as follows in Japan: DW-6900HD-8JF (14,300 yen), GA-2100HD-8AJF (17,050 yen), GA-2000HD-8AJF (19,800 yen), GA-110HD-8AJF (19,800 yen), GA-700HD-8AJF (18,150 yen). (All Japan prices include tax.) Some of these models are expected to be released outside of Japan.

G-Shock U.S. is expected to release the DW6900HD-8, GA2100HD-8A, and GA700HD-8A for $110 each.
