Japanese fan site Great G-Shock World has reported on the discovery of the gold-colored Casio “CRW-001G-1” Ring Watch listed at a European watch shop. We cannot confirm which site it is referring to, but we did find a CRW-001G-1 listing at a Russian shop that has a missing product image. The description and specifications match the original CRW-001-1 and also mention the yellow gold IP coating. A previous leaked photo of a purported “CRW-001GD-1” showed a gold CRW-001 ring with an inverted LCD display, but GGW stated that the CRW-001G-1 has a standard LCD display like the first one. GGW also stated that it is likely to be released soon.
The first Casio Ring Watch (CRW-001-1) continues to be very popular and difficult to purchase.
The original CRW-001-1 was restocked in mid-2025 and sold out quickly like the initial release, and we expect the CRW-001G-1 to continue that trend. The CRW-001 is notable for being a functional 5000-5600-shaped watch with water resistance, dual time, 1/100-second stopwatch, auto-calendar, and LED light. Casio U.S. recently updated the price of the CRW001-1 from $120 to $135 (although it is still out of stock), and we expect the gold version to cost a little more with its ion-plated finish.
