New G-Shock watch releases for March 2026 (DW-5600MNC with Fidlock magnetic buckle, GM-H5600 Metal-Covered G-SQUAD with HR Monitor, GA-V01SKE Skeleton)

Along with the GMA-P2126W-8A International Women’s Day special (above), Casio announced the following G-Shock watches for a March 2026 release in Japan. [All nine models below were also announced for the Asia region.]

DW-5600MNC Series with Elastic Cloth Band and Fidlock Magnetic Buckle

The black DW-5600MNC-1 with black and gray band, white DW-5600MNC-7A8 with yellow and gray band, and DW-5600MNC-8A2 with blue and orange band feature an elastic cloth band stretches up to 2.7 times combined with a Fidlock magnetic buckle clasp that allows for quick and easy one-handed opening and closing. Casio warns that the magnetic clasp should not be used close to electronic implants and should be kept 2 centimeters away from magnetic strips on credit cards and parking tickets, but that credit card “chips” and SD cards are not affected. The compatible band size is 145 to 215 millimeters, which goes larger than a standard DW-5600 resin band’s max of 205 and allows the DW-5600MNC to be worn over outerwear sleeves.

There are aftermarket watch bands with Fidlock buckles available, but we haven’t seen this specific buckle before or any sets that are designed for G-Shock watches. The strap adapters and bands on these DW-5600 models should also fit some other modern square series such as the DW-5000R, G-5600, GLX-5600, GW-5000, GW-BX5600, and GW-M5610.

GM-H5600 Metal Covered Square with Heart Rate Monitor: GM-H5600-1 and GM-H5600-9

The GM-H5600-1 and GM-H5600-9 are metal-covered squares with an MIP LCD display and share the same functions as the resin DW-H5600, including an optical heart rate monitor, step counter, accelerometer, Bluetooth smartphone link, multi-activity support, blood oxygen level measurement, training analysis, sleep analysis, sunrise-sunset time, moon data, and wired USB and solar-assisted charging.

Despite having a full stainless steel bezel, each watch is only four grams heavier (63 grams) than the DW-H5600-1, due to the use of a carbon fiber-reinforced resin case back. They also measure slightly narrower and thinner at 51.1 × 44.5 × 17.4 millimeters. Unlike the DW-H5600, the GM-H5600 does not have a Carbon Core Guard case. Unlike the GM-5600, the bezel of the GM-H5600 has actual holes in the four dimpled areas where the resin case is visible below.

GA-V01SKE Transparent Pack

The lime green GA-V01SKE-3A, orange GA-V01SKE-4A, purple GA-V01SKE-6A, and gray GA-V01SKE-8A from the streetwear-inspired GA-V01 series feature “skeleton” style translucent bezels and bands. These extra-large watches with spherical glass measure 49.1 × 58.2 × 19.6 millimeters and have a 10-year battery-life including a double LED light for the dial and LCD backlight.
