Watches Mail Order Kawashima added exclusive videos of the five-piece G-Shock 35th Anniversary Big Bang Black Collection. While the videos are rather grainy compared to their other videos, they do give us a good close-up look at the details of these anniversary watches, including the gold IP 35th Anniversary case backs and stainless steel strap keepers, black IP buttons and buckles, and the new super matte finish. It should be noted that the GA-135A-1A, GA-735A-1A, and GA-835A-1A have plastic buckles, but the GA-110 usually has a stainless steel buckle and the GA-800-1A and GA-800-4A have stainless steel buckles. It’s known that GA-700 watches have a plastic buckle (though the more recent models have a stainless steel buckle along with the GA-710 series). So this might be something to look out for in the future to see if it becomes more prevalent on the affordable models. While stainless steel would seem preferable to plastic, we’re sure Casio has done thorough testing and we haven’t heard of anyone having problems with them.
