G-Shock DW-5610MT-1 ‘Mixtape’ music-themed watch has a multicolor composite band

G-Shock China released the multicolor DW-5610MT-1 “Mixtape” edition inspired by ’80s stereo equipment and music. Along with a retro-style face and a black and gray bezel, what makes this model unique is the multicolored link band. This appears to be a composite band made of resin and stainless steel parts, with traditional band links and a folding clasp closure. (The official specifications state that the strap material is resin and “others.”) The watch measures 48.9 x 43.8 x 13.5 millimeters and weighs 85 grams. This DW-5610 model shares the same functions as the DW-5600 and has an LED backlight and estimated 5-year battery life.
In China, the DW-5610MT-1DR has a price of 1,390 yuan (about US$191). The watch is currently available for pre-orders online with shipping expected after December 10. The DW-5610MT-1JF will reportedly be released in Japan in December for 25,300 yen, as part of a series that includes a DW-5900 and GA-100.
Update: G-Shock U.S. released the DW5610MT-1 for $210.
