G-Shock GD-010GB-1A9: Black and gold with large LCD display and 10-year battery

G-Shock GD-010GB-1A9: Black and Gold

Black and gold is a common color combination for G-Shock that goes back to one of the first G-Shock watches (DW-5000C-1B) from 1983 which was released alongside the now more publicized black and red DW-5000C-1A. The affordable and practical GD-010 series is now getting its own black and gold model with the GD-010GB-1A9. The watch features a large case with a big-digit LCD display, front LED backlight button, and an approximate 10-year battery life. We like how Casio chose a tinted LCD display and not an inverted LCD display like some other black and gold models, as there are already three GD-010 watches with an inverted display. The GD-010GB-1A9JF will be released in August 2025 in Japan with a price of 15,950 yen. This is slightly higher than the 14,850 yen price of the debut GD-010 models due to the gold vapor deposition on the face.

Update: Three other new black and gold watches will also be released in August, including one GA-100 and two GA-010 models.
