In November, G-Shock will release its first new GMW-B5000 model of 2026 with the gem-accented GMW-B5000SB-1A2, featuring blue sapphires and a soft urethane band. The watch is part of the Blue Rose Project which also includes two limited MR-G models and has a “Gem Accents” theme with four lab-grown sapphires with a round brilliant cut placed in the dimpled areas of the black IP stainless steel bezel. As a Japan-made full metal GMW-B5000 model, the watch also has a stainless steel screw-back case. Major features of the GMW-B5000SB include Tough Solar, Multi-Band 6, and Bluetooth smartphone link with the Casio Watches app.
In Japan, the GMW-B5000SB-1A2JF will be released on November 7 for ¥110,000 (with pre-ordering expected on November 1). It is not designated as a limited edition, but we do not expect this model to remain in production indefinitely. The price is the same as the GWR-B3000-1AJF, which has a price of $880 in the U.S. Hodinkee reported a price of $770 for the GMW-B5000SB-1A2, which looks like it could be a typo.
