G-Shock U.S. is now selling the DWH5600MB-1 (left) and DWH5600MB-2 (right) for $320 each, which is just $21 more than the DWH5600-1 and DWH5600-2. These models feature an ion plated stainless steel front bezel piece and bio-based resin. They are six grams heavier (65 grams) than the full resin models but are 0.8-millimeter thinner (16.6 mm). These models were released earlier this year around the world with the debut of the DW-H5600 series but were not included in the initial U.S. release.
Based on the classic 5000 series design, the DW-H5600 is a fitness-oriented G-Shock series with support for four activities (running, walking, gym workouts such as weight training and stationary bike, and interval training) and advanced training functions including sleep analysis. Features include an optical heart rate monitor, step counter, Bluetooth smartphone link, and solar-assisted charging. It is also recommended for general use with features such as the high-contrast MIP LCD display, vibration alerts, smartphone notifications, moon data and sunrise/sunset time, world time, smart alarm, and full auto LED light.
