Hiroshima Toyo Carp x G-Shock GM-5600 for 2022 commemorates 15th anniversary of first collaboration

The Hiroshima Toyo Carp of the Nippon Professional Baseball league released a limited edition G-Shock GM-5600 for 2022 to commemorate the 15th anniversary of the team’s first G-Shock collaboration. The GM-5600 is a deluxe model featuring a stainless steel bezel and was chosen to honor the collaboration’s history that started with the DW-5600.

The watch has a black ion plated bezel, red team-branded face, matte red band, and anniversary graphic with the Carp Boy mascot on the case back. The now sold out watch was limited to 1,500 units and was released on January 29 with a price of 25,000 yen.

(The black and red design is reminiscent of the GM-6900B-4, though that model had a translucent red band with a glossy appearance.)
