The DW5600RBG-1 collaboration with New York-founded streetwear brand Union will be released on November 6, 2026, at store.unionlosangeles.com and in-store at Union L.A., as well as in Japan (DW-5600RBG-1JR) on November 7. This limited edition watch was also announced for Asia and is expected to be released worldwide (as DW-5600RBG-1).
The watch features an American flag motif but in the colors of the Pan-African flag, which symbolize black identity, liberation, and shared ancestry. The Pan-African flag was created by Marcus Garvey and adopted by the Universal Negro Improvement Association and African Communities League in 1920. The flag would also go on to inspire the flags of other countries such as Kenya, Malawai, and South Sudan. The African-American Flag featuring the Pan-African flag colors was created by artist David Hammons in 1990.
The flag design on the DW5600RBG-1 covers the entire bezel and face, including the LCD display with red and green tints. The band keeper is a multicolor tri-band style resembling the Pan-African flag, and the LED backlight displays the Union Frontman logo.
Union was founded in 1989 in Soho, New York City and opened its Los Angeles store in 1991. The New York store closed in 2009, and Union L.A. is still open at 110 South La Brea Avenue, along with Union stores in Tokyo and Osaka.
