Renowned avant-garde artist Yayoi Kusama, a prominent figure in the New York art scene in the 1960s, will be holding her “My Eternal Soul” exhibition at the The National Art Center in Roppongi, Tokyo from Wednesday, February 22, 2017 to Monday, May 22, 2017. To commemorate the event, a variety of XLARGE and X-girl clothing, Porter bags, and accessories featuring Kusama’s signature polka dot designs will be available, including a pair of limited edition G-Shock DW-5600 watches. The black watches feature XLARGE or X-Girl branding on the face and case back, Yayoi Kusama’s signature on the face, yellow or pink polka dot designs on the face and bands, and a “Love Forever” graphic on the EL backlight. Each watch comes in a co-branded box and display box featuring the polka dot design.
The XLARGE x Yayoi Kusama x G-Shock DW-5600 and X-girl x Yayoi Kusama x G-Shock DW-5600 will be available for pre-order online on February 9, 2017 and available in XLARGE stores in Japan on February 10. The retail price for each watch is ¥19,440 JPY including tax.
