The Mudmaster enters a new era with the Carbon Core Guard structure and Bluetooth…
G-Shock is releasing the all-new Mudmaster GG-B100 series in July 2019. The GG-B100 is part of the recent wave of Carbon Core Guard G-Shocks and has a carbon fiber-reinforced case with a carbon fiber bezel. Like previous Mudmaster and Mudman models, the GG-B100 has a mud-resistant structure.
The GG-B100 has a Quad Sensor (but it is not the same Quad Sensor as the GWN-Q1000 Gulfmaster which included a water Depth Meter). Three of the sensors are the pressure sensor (altimeter and barometer), compass, and thermometer, and the fourth is a step counter. The GG-B100 has the Bluetooth mobile link function that allows the watch to connect to the G-Shock Connected smartphone app for various functions such as automatic time adjustment, mission log, location indicator, calorie consumption display, and phone finder.
A noticeable addition to this model that the other “junior” (non-GWG-1000) Mudmaster models lack is the front-facing light button. As with the new GA-2000 series, the new Carbon Core Guard case allows the watch to have guardless buttons. Unlike the sleeker look of the GA-2000, the GG-B100 retains the signature armored look of previous Mudmaster models with protective resin sections placed over the bezel.
The GG-B100 will launch in three colorways in July 2019 in Japan with the black GG-B100-1AJF, khaki green GG-B100-1A3JF, and orange GG-B100-1A9JF. The GG-B100-1A, GG-B100-1A3, and GG-B100-1A9 are also expected to be released in the rest of Asia in July 2019. Casio America announced the GGB100-1A3 for an August 2019 release with a list price of $350. (Update: The GGB100-1A, GGB100-1A3, and GGB100-1A9 are also being released in the U.S. with a list price of $350 each.)

The fourth sensor is an accelerometer that serves as a step counter. Other unique functions include the Mission Log which automatically records a track of the altitude data from the watch and GPS data from the smartphone to a dedicated app. Manual operation also allows the user to plot an altitude point on a map. The Location Indicator function displays the compass bearing direction and distance to a user-designated location. This settable location is actually the user’s current location at the time of designation, so this function allows the user to backtrack to the original location (and does not serve as a route mapping function for other destinations). The Customizable Mode allows the user to change which functions appear when the Mode button is pressed and in what order they are displayed.
The carbon fiber bezel is made with a carbon fiber sheet inserted into the fine resin. The top fine resin layer is transparent which allows the the carbon fiber to be visible.
The watch is battery-powered with an estimated battery life of 2 years. Other features include world time (38 cities + UTC), 1/100-second stopwatch (for first 60 minutes, 1-second after 60 minutes, max 59’59”99 with elapsed time, split time, 1st and 2nd place times), countdown timer (max 24 hours with 1-second increments, and 1-minute and 1-hour increments for setting from 1 minute to 24 hours), 5 daily alarms, hourly time signal, sunrise/sunset time display, auto double LED light with afterglow (1.5/3 seconds). The dimension are 55.4 x 34.9 x 19.3 millimeters and the weight is about 92 grams.
Update (June 2019): Casio Europe now has the GG-B100 models listed. Other info and features not previously mentioned include:
• The altimeter operates at up to 10,000 meters.
• There is a 40-set altimeter data memory that includes the measured altitude and date and time.
• The Height Gain function sums all meters climbed in a session to show the total ascent during a tour.
• The measuring range of the barometer is 260/1100 hPa.
• The measuring range of the thermometer is (-10°C /+60°C).
• The display is mineral glass.
• The watch has a battery change indicator that shows an icon when it is time to change the CR2025 battery.
Update (July 2019): The GG-B100-1AJF, GG-B100-1A3JF, and GG-B100-1A9JF have a list price in Japan of 45,000 JPY each. G-Shock Japan says that the GG-B100 has a “spherical curved [mineral] glass” display. The GG-B100-1A, GG-B100-1A3, and GG-B100-1A9 are also being released in other Asian countries.

Every time it needs to be opened to change the battery is a risk factor in potentially losing the water resistance. for this kind of adventure watch that is a big mistake.
They could have put a solar sell behind the big bearing indicator in the top half of the dial
That’s why you should have an authorized service center do it, or a place that you can trust. G-Shocks use an o-ring seal and are not hard to put back together, if just the battery is being replaced, but it is a little more complicated than changing the batteries in a flashlight. You can always get a pressure test to make sure it was reassembled correctly.
Thanks, yes of course a proper service center should do it and replace the o-ring as well. But it is cumbersome compared to a solar watch whose battery will last for 10 more years or so.
Use the procedure below to delete the pairing information from the watch, and then re-pair the watch and phone.

Hold down (D) for at least two seconds. Release the button when the name of the currently selected Home City appears on the display.
③
Press (D) to cause the seconds digits to flash.
④
Hold down (C) for at least two seconds. Release it when [PAIR CLR] stops flashing. This deletes the pairing information from the watch.
⑤
Press (D) to return to the Timekeeping Mode.

This watch will go down in G shock folklaw history as one of the best value for money models ever released. Similar to the Rangeman 9400.

The first thing that will give away your position is reflective glass!
Utilise a couple of $2 batteries, problem solved!
For the function specific tasks this watch may be used for it’s a no brainer! Solar isn’t always the answer…..
