Five Frogman GWF-A1000 models listed as active again

The analog Frogman series no longer appears to be discontinued.

We recently reported that all models of the G-Shock Frogman GWF-A1000 series were in “End of Production” (i.e. discontinued) status, which presumably meant that the series as a whole was discontinued. That is no longer the case, as there are now five models that are listed as active again, according to the official G-Shock Japan database. These include the three debut models (GWF-A1000-1AJF, GWF-A1000-1A2JF, GWF-A1000-1A4JF), the blue and black GWF-A1000C-1AJF with composite band, and the GWF-A1000XC-1AJF with carbon fiber bezel and composite band.

This is the first time that we’ve seen any G-Shock models go from “End of Production” back to an active status, and we do not know why this occurred.

We also recently reported on the Gulfmaster GWN-Q1000 series being discontinued, and that status remains unchanged.

(Thanks to Gary K. for the tip.)

Let’s hope they are the last analog Casio Frogman, and stop with the failed experiments. In my opinion and that of many other Casio fans a true Frogman is digital and the technology exists to make it another success as it was and is the GWF-D1000. To date the best Frogman ever.
