Casio is teaming up with Miami sneaker boutique SoleFly for the limited edition DW5600SLF23-5, which celebrates the G-Shock 40th Anniversary. The watch has an “Heirloom” theme that is inspired by the first wave of Cuban immigrants in the 1960s and the passing down of cherished timepieces to family members. Along with a brown bezel and band, the watch has a gold ion plated stainless steel buckle and band keeper, a blue face with an aged and distressed style, and a custom engraved case back featuring the birth years of both brands. The EL backlight displays the Spanish phrase “Mi Casa Es Su Casa.”
The DW5600SLF23-5 will be released on Friday, December 1, at SoleFly stores and online at https://www.solefly.com/”>solefly.com. The watch will also be available at casio.com/us where it has a price of $150. A release party will be held at Maty’s in Miami on December 1st at 11 p.m. (See the Instagram post below for RSVP information.)
