G-Shock U.S. released two new promotional videos for the G-SQUAD GBD800, a new digital model featuring the Step Tracker pedometer and Bluetooth mobile link. The GBD800 has unique fitness training features such as five customizable interval timers that can be set to automatically repeat, a stopwatch target time alert feature with 10 settable target times, and a 200-record lap memory (that logs date, total, lap, and split times).
The Bluetooth Smart feature allows linking to a smartphone with the G-Shock Connected app. Step tracking and stopwatch data can be viewed on the app and the watch settings can be adjusted with the app. Other Bluetooth features include automatic time adjustment, world time with 300 cities, and a phone finder function that will search for a phone by attempting to establish a Bluetooth connection.
The GBD800 series has the distinction of being the most affordable Bluetooth-equipped G-Shock watch with a list price of $99 USD. U.S. models include the GBD800-1 (black-red with reverse LCD) and GBD800-8 (gray-green with standard LCD). The analog-digital GBA800 series is the next most affordable Bluetooth model at $120 and has the same features as the GBD800.
