G-Shock Gulfman GW-9110 and Gravitymaster GWR-B1000 are officially discontinued

G-Shock Gulfman GW-9110 and Gravitymaster GWR-B1000 discontinued

Thanks to Japanese fan site Great G-Shock World for pointing out the G-Shock Gravitymaster GWR-B1000-1A1JF is now in “production completed” (i.e. discontinued) status according to the Casio Japan website. It was in sold out status for a long time and was presumed to be discontinued before this official designation. We also checked the listing for the recently sold out G-Shock Gulfman GW-9110-1JF, which we previously suspected of being discontinued, and this model is also officially discontinued. As these were the only remaining models in their respective series, it is assumed that the GW-9110 and GWR-B1000 series are now discontinued.

The GWR-B1000 was notable for being one of the first Carbon Core Guard series to launch, along with the GA-2000, in early 2019. It was also the first G-Shock series with a carbon monocoque case and started the trend toward smaller sized G-Shock watches compared to some of the very large models from the 2010s. The GW-9110 with tide and moon graphs was notable for its titanium exterior parts and its Rust Resist designation. (The GWR-B1000-1A1JF also had the Rust Resist designation but was made of carbon.)

While the Gravitymaster GPW-2000 is still active in Japan and a new mid-range Gravitymaster GR-B300 is rumored to be coming, it’s not known if the Gulfman line will be continued in the future. We’d like to believe that an update or new series is coming, but there is no indication of that at the moment.
