G-Shock is now on Roblox with new obby game and virtual items

As part of its “Virtual G-Shock” project started in 2023, G-Shock has now entered the Roblox universe with its own game world (Challenge the Skate Obby: G-SHOCK) and virtual watch and clothing items for sale. This is likely to be much more popular and worthwhile for both G-Shock and its fans than the previous projects that involved NFTs and niche crypto metaverses, as Roblox is a very popular free gaming platform with 150 million daily active users around the world.
Along with the obstacle course racing game (rated for ages 16+), there are currently twelve virtual DW-5600 and GA-2100 watches for sale along with nine virtual clothing items including T-shirts and caps. Casio states that the watches will give special effects when worn in the G-Shock game, and an event in the game will offer limited-edition items for free. Casio plans to add more courses and events in the future.
I played the game and it is actually quite fun, challenging, and long. It took me nearly half an hour to complete World 01 and earn the Noob Color Skateboard. Those who finish it in under 20 minutes can earn limited G-Shock items while supplies last. There are also two other worlds that can be unlocked. Although the game title and description are in Japanese, it is available internationally with English text within the game.
