G-Shock is releasing the MTG-B3000-1A in October 2023, starting in Japan (MTG-B3000-1AJF) with a tax-included price of 132,000 yen. This model is somewhat reminiscent of the MTG-B1000-1A and is the sort of basic colorway you might have expected to be a launch model. It is the second MTG-B3000 model in silver and the second with a resin band, which results in a lighter weight of 111 grams (versus 148 grams with a stainless steel band). Compared to the silver MTG-B3000D-1A with stainless steel band, the dial is also a little different, with a white second hand and red accents on the low battery marker and around two subdials. Like that model, it also has a partial black ion plating around the edge of the bezel.
The made-in-Japan MTG-B3000 series is known for its dual guard structure with a carbon fiber-reinforced case and stainless steel case back that extends to the side to protect the buttons. It is equipped with Tough Solar power, Multi-Band 6 time adjustment, and Bluetooth smartphone link. It also has Triple G Resist for protection against shock, centrifugal gravity, and vibration.
Note: Casio Japan also sells a black resin MTG-B3000 band (BANDGS52P-1JR) separately for 16,500 yen, and the MTG-B3000 series features an easy band release structure that does not require tools.
