The new Morizo x G-Shock DW-5600 collaboration with Toyota Gazoo Racing will be sold in limited quantities this weekend at the Fuji Super TEC 24 Hour Race at Fuji Speedway in Oyama, Japan, according to various posts on X. (The event takes place on May 31 and June 1.) “Morizo” is the racing pseudonym of Toyota Motor Corporation president Akio Toyoda. The name is also used for the Morizo Challenge Cup series (which Casio is a partner of) in the All Japan Rally Championship, and for cars such as the Toyota GR Corolla Morizo Edition and the Lexus LBX Morizo RR.
The limited edition watch features Morizo and Toyota GR branding on the face and band, a red signature that appears with the LED backlight, and a caricature engraved on the stainless steel case back. An image confirms that this model is equipped with module 3525 and is made in Japan. The price is 22,000 yen. Online availability is unknown at this time.
Update: The watch is now available at the official Toyota Gazoo Racing shop at rakuten.co.jp.
