WatchDavid hands-on review of the G-Shock MRG-BF1000RG-3A ‘Goliath Frog’

G-Shock Frogman MRG-BF1000RG-3A Hands-On Review by WatchDavid

WatchDavid takes a hands-on look at the upcoming G-Shock Frogman MRG-BF1000RG-3A in his latest video embedded below. According to a Casio document in the video, the MRG-BF1000RG-3A will be released in June 2025 in Europe for 4,900 euros. A price of 4,900 euros suggests that the price will be $4,900 in the U.S., and G-Shock U.K. has the watch listed as coming soon for 4,400 pounds. WatchDavid states that the MRG-BF1000RG-3A is not a limited edition, and Casio made no mention of it being limited with the Japan and Asia releases.

The gray titanium bezel and case have a brushed finish that cuts down on reflections. Combined with the olive green Dura Soft band and a more subdued dial without the usual color accents, the watch has more of a bareish army style than other recent Frogman models. While we would normally expect more styling elements on a pricey MR-G model, the overall result is an obvious success with the “Goliath Frog.”
